“Art and Life” Project
A Few weeks ago, the three Grade 10 students (Secondes) started a new and common sequence entitled “Art and life” in the English class.
It increased our general culture and knowledge as we studied different types of art, as well as the periods in art. We learned so much about famous artists such as Banksy and Turner. We even studied some new and very uncommon, but quite interesting art forms like Foodscapes by Carl Warner; it is a new concept of art using food to create landscapes. We were amazed in front of those wonderful masterpieces. By learning those types of art, we got inspired to create our own so we developed the art and life project. Each group had to come up with something in relation to the theme and present it to their classmates. It was actually an art contest. There were many different and impressive works, the best ones would win a mysterious prize; so the excitement pushed us to do our best and we had so much fun doing it.
Even though there are winners, we all feel like we all won because all the invaluable knowledge we gained from the project is obviously priceless, and that’s the most important! So we thank our teachers for this wonderful project.
And the winners are:
First: Different skin colors (Emmanuel Bassilekin and Athena Balanos 2A)
Second: Earth Bomb (Denzel, Martha Maa, Orane ranson 2B)
Third: Good Moms (Ruth-Laurie Ngo Moulen 2B)
